Railroad history

The history of the rail transport industry is a fascinating subject. As model railroaders, we often find ourselves doing an enormous amount of research into the prototype railroads' histories in order to more accurately model them. This section of The Rip Track will include articles of interest to railroad historians. These articles will be updated as new information becomes available, so please check back often for updates.
