Banned and blocked

This website receives a lot of traffic from around the world, and unfortunately, that includes spammers.  You may notice that all of the email addresses listed below are clickable.  A lot of spambots will just scrape websites for any and all email addresses they can find to add them to a list of spam targets.  Linking all of the email addresses here is my small attempt to taint the lists with email addresses that are, by their nature, bad advertising prospects.  If enough lists get filled up with these bad email addresses, their value will decrease.  Sure, it's not much, but it's part of my small contribution to the antispam effort.

Some of the signs that I look for when adding data to this list are: an anonymous user trying to add a new or edit an existing page; a user trying to set up multiple user names; a user trying to access crazy URLs; usernames that aren't pronounceable.  There are other indicators in my logs that I look for, but these are the most common reasons that users are banned and blocked.

It seems unlikely that spammers actually read this page, so here's a clue that they could use... When a user submits the form to create a new account here, my web software sends an email to the address in the application with one simple question.  If the confirmation email bounces or the question within the confirmation is not answered within two days, the account is deleted the IP address is blocked and the applicant is added to this list.

Here are some details on spammers that have tried to gain access recently (I have tried to consolidate and connect as much information as possible based on my web server log entries).  Each entry below begins with an IP address; this address is the first instance that I have seen for each entry.  After the first IP address on the line, there may be requested usernames, email addresses or more IP addresses.  For each entry, additional information is included if at least one piece of data in a new spammish activity log entry matches on an existing entry.  Spammers try to access from different IP addresses and logins, so I've tried to match them up as much as I can based on the log entries I see.  Where I can make matches, I will combine their information on this list.
